Based in the mountains outside Boulder, Colorado, Wave Collector is the downtempo electronica project of Neal Wright. The project’s recent full-length release, Your Call is Important to Us, mixes vibey, warm, retro electronica with sci-fi worldbuilding to create a hold music concept album. Since starting in 2015, Wave Collector has released 4 full-length albums as well as several singles and remixes. Wave Collector’s sound includes soaring analog synth lines, unique organic sampled elements, and acoustic instruments, and covers genres including synthwave, IDM, and downtempo.

Wave Collector’s live set features a live drummer and an all-hardware array of samplers, sequencers, and synthesizers with rich effects and improvisational elements, with sets from 20-40 minutes.

Wave Collector promotes every show to an engaged following of 8,700 Instagram followers, 4,500 monthly Spotify listeners, and an active mailing list of 800 fans.
